Crush (storytellers) question

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Crush (storytellers) question

Unread post by wakeboarderal05 » Tue May 06, 2003 9:50 am

What is that chord Dave and Tim both play at the very end of Crush on Storytellers? It's the one during the outro, right after Tim's solo. Tim starts coming back in with Dave, and they both play two chords, and they are a little weird-sounding. I can't find anywhere what they are...does anyone have any idea?

Code: Select all

Ending

This is the ending from VH1 Storytellers.

Repeat these first two lines as desired, and at some point instead of playing the second line switch to the part after this.

e:----------------------------------------------------------------|
B:----------------------------------------------------------------|
G:-----------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4------------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4---|
D:-----------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2------------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2---|
A:---2--2----x-x-x--2---------------2--2----x-x-x--2--------------|
d:----------------------------------------------------------------|

e:----------------------------------------------------------------|
B:----------------------------------------------------------------|
G:-----------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4------------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4---|
D:-----------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2------------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2---|
A:-----------x-x-x--2-----------------------x-x-x--2--------------|
d:---2--2---------------------------2--2--------------------------|

The next part comes in right where the second line in the above part would, and is tabbed out through the end of the song. Dave and Tim both play the same first line of this part, which has a really cool effect.

e:-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

i played along with it and it sounds right...i think it's like you hit that note and pull off and hit the open A string and then strum the B chord
