I currently have a Fender Ultimate Chorus DSP...Which is great...but I am thinking about getting an acoustic/elec guitar... will I be able to run an acou/elec through a primarily electric amp?

yeah, if you have it as clean as it will go, youll get an amplification of some of your tone, with an acoustic amp like, it can improve your sound.

I used to have an Ultimate Chorus, great amp.
I used to play weddings with my Chet going through that amp, and it always sounded great. I barely needed to turn it up above 1. My DCX1E Martin A/E sounded great through that as well.

I know what you mean about the volume...3 rattles my walls...and severly pisses off my neighbors.

i have an 80 watt tube amp. i always keep the master an 10 and adjust the volume accordingly. i played with 10 on channel volumes once too..... it was near deafening. you couldnt even remotely hear a drum set over it.
