the Chet

Is it just me, but is one of the aluring aspects of the Chet Atkins SST the looks? I look at it (expecially the black ones) and it just looks so kewl. The whole black guitar with the cool cut on the frets, and this thin body that stays close to the body. I just think it looks so kewl (excpet I don't like the stars, I would like blocks like a gibson).

. . . oh, also doesn't the Epiphone Casino just look so kewl ;) . . . I NEED that guitar (watching John on the Rock and Roll Circus playing with Clapton, Keith Richards, and the drummer from the Jimi Hendrix Eperience). It looks like Clapton is playing the Gibson ES-335 (the Gibson equivalant of the Casino) and he looks so different young with his mop top hair and super skinny.

Totally agree 'bout the chet. Hell I have never played one (neither Epip or Gibson) but I still want one!

What would be great though, they should make it in more colors. What Gibson should do is check on some Ibanez finishes and take some of the blue sunburst and put it on a SST. That would be so great!

Consider this though:
If Dave never played on a SST... Would it still be considered as cool as it is now? Doubt it!

i dont really like the chet.... if i wanted a solid body acoustic (which i kinda already have.. sorta...) id get a crowdster. those are SICK. they look fricken amazing and sound 41238u135151308531x better than a chet.

Wow! Ocean burst and the translucent black burst!

That's what I want to see on a chet!

Don't really like the neck and headstock on those guitars... But awesome finish!

EDIT: Elephantfingers!

the headstock doesnt really match because its the only acoustic model that Anderson makes. so yeah, its kinda weird. but holy crap.

a Chet wishes it could be a Crowdster. David Crowder played 2 chets (a weird red one with a soundhole and a honeyburst one) until Anderson started making those. not only have i heard it for my own ears how amazing they sound, but ive talked to people who own both and they all agree that the Crowdster is 20815uy5613208uy310861bvwdnvvms (letters are variables > 1) times better.

Even if you like a Crodster over a Chet, you still have to say they are damn good guitars. Also, you can put whatever finish you want ona chet. Just take it to a professional to strip the stain and restain it. John Lennon did that to his Epiphone Casino and one of his Gibson acoustics (actualy he had the gibson with a sunburst, stripped it, painted it with wild colors, stripped it, put a natural clear finish on it, stripped it again, and then gave it a plain finish and I believe he gave it away.)
