I feel more confident playing a nicer guitar, so mentally it helps me a little

i just feel happier. therefore, better music.

cause my guitar is in the shop (my good one) so i have to play my old guitar which is like completely wood laminate and it hasn't been played for a long time so i am not used to and i am playing like i've never played before.

Maybe its cause you don't really care how you treat your crappy guitar and so your just going all out on the thing. That's what i find myself doing with my old seagull cause i don't really give a shit what happens to it. Am i right?

i'm not sure, maybe partially..i hate it tho...so depressing....meh.

It's only going to be as strong as the weakest link. That being said a persons skill is going to be much more important than the instrument. Ultimately, if it has 6 six strings can stay in tune and has proper intonation that's all you need.
