jack johnson - 'wasting time' ... need help

Unread post by Matty Boom » Sun Aug 22, 2004 8:29 am

here's a link to a clip of jack playing this intro and below it is the tab

http://mmasarik.dmbtabs.com/wastingtimeclip.mp3

Code: Select all

e----------------------5-------------------------------5---- B----------------------5--------7-h8---7-h8-7-7--------5-------- G--7----7----7-7-------6--------7-h9---7-h9-7-7--------6------- D--7-h9-7-h9-7-7-------7--------7-h9---7-h9-7-7-7------7-------------- A----------------7-5---7---------------------------7-5-7------ E-------------------5--5-------------------------------5--
now, with both of these things, you would think one could come to play this lick...but i can't

can someone please help me out...it's mostly that i can't get the hammer-ons to sound right...i'm either way too slow with them, or i just suck

anyways, thanks for any help
B+P by offer only...thank you

well if your playing on acoustic you need some sort of effects to get it "exactly" like that. i just strumm that part and it sounds fine, just lift your fingers off, you dont really need to hamer on like you might usually do. just my opinion.
