if the person can play, then yes its gonna help. if they cant, then theyre gonna be makin some nicer sounding crap.

cause my guitar is in the shop (my good one) so i have to play my old guitar which is like completely wood laminate and it hasn't been played for a long time so i am not used to and i am playing like i've never played before.

after the performers comfort of playing a certain instrument, the quality of the instrument undoubtably helps the performer, it just doesnt MAKE the performer. for instance, the neck(fingerboard and back) of my warwick bass is so smooth that it makes my slides better than on my old fender jazz, which has a "stick" neck.

if youre good youre good, the instrument shouldn't matter...it does suck though when you have a guitar that gets out of tune just by hitting a chord.

Maybe its cause you don't really care how you treat your crappy guitar and so your just going all out on the thing. That's what i find myself doing with my old seagull cause i don't really give a shit what happens to it. Am i right?
