i have always been trying to play guitar--but i suck and still suck more or less
i have been coming here from the start but never knew there was a message board till recently
and some good people asked if they could have this treed here because it was a good vid for helping you learn guitar and such--i said sure why not

wow guys, this tree is most certainly not FOR dmbtabs, this tree is FOR the community, dmbtabs is just the venue this time. I am a sinclair regular, and always hop on will's trees. will is actually a friend of mine that i talk to all the time. i have every single sinclair video released to date, along with about 60 or so other videos. should i not be able to jump on this tree because im not a regular at this board?

Good call, this is getting outta hand and is not why I started the thread at all. On another note, will or skiracer, is there still anyway to get any of the previous sinclair vids, I have none and would like any I could get my hands on. Reply, pm, or e-mail me if you can.

Also, we did get 166 people to all join in one day, maybe some of them will stick around and join the community.

Ok, I see your point........but it just upsets me when I see things like this, the fact that people couldn't be ass'd to contribute to such a good board.

You only seem to show up when there's something in it for you. Oppurtunist?
I think Kanter has an incredible site here and I just wish some people would contribute to the community instead of just leaching off it.
I'm sure jkanter and the moderators are really happy to see so many new user's but I think it would be great if you all came here for the right reasons....1. This is the best dmb site there is....2. Most people here don't have an attitude.. including me.

Well, I guess I'll sound off as the "idiot-newbie"... but against my better judgement I just have to.

Truth is, I never had heard of DMBtabs...sorry to say I DID join b/c of the tree... BUT the tab's ROCK... I would bet you have just as many "lurkers" that just come get tabs and leave, as you do "lurkers" that just come for the dvd and leave...I don't know that I'll post too often after seeing how "some" of you HATE new users that want a DVD (same as you do probably), but I can say I'll deffinately check out this site for new tabs... I'm not exactly the greatest guitar player, but oh well i'll still give some of the songs a shot

my .02

Will just showed DMBTABS.COM to the world... how can ANY of you think that is bad??!?!!

I dont think anyone thinks thats bad at all, we are actually hoping that you'll stick around and use the tabs/boards and join the community, not just come by to sign up for the dvd. I dont blame you for just signing up and getting the dvd, this was the only place to go. Please dont think youre not welcome of there is any hostility to new members, we just hope now that youve signed up you'll stick around and chat for awhile, learn from the best tabs on the internet, post some covers or just post every now and then on the boards with some questions/comments. So, to everyone new, welcome and stick around, this really is a good place to come and chat. Seeya around the boards.

contribute to the community ehh? LET ME TELL YOU SOMTHING: THIS SITE IS NOT THE COMMUNITY i have never been at this site but i have done a hell of a lot of shit for the community such as:

hosting video downloads
holding video trees in the past
taping concerts on video
too many b&ps to count
hosting bit torrent downloads on STG.org almost daily (how many of you come over to STG to get "leech" on downloads without ever contributing?)

im not saying im against it, but according to your philosophy it is a bad thing

about the regulars missing out: the regulars here should have the same chance of getting the video as the non regulars at THIS site, THIS TREE IS NOT FOR DMBTABS, IT IS FOR THE DMB COMMUNITY, I CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!! if anything, this tree just put dmbtabs in the spotlight a little bit, but the tree is for the whole community including tabs, ants, the bridge, nancies, the groove, minarets, etc. etc. etc. dmbtabs was just the venue at where is was done THIS TIME, what you are doing would be like me saying that you cant jump on the next sinclair tree that will be at another board because you were not a regular at that board

sorry if that post was a little mean, but its really how i feel
