How hard is it to find a Martin?

Unread post by budlitebrad » Sun Aug 15, 2004 3:27 pm

I've been looking at Guitar Center for a D-16RGT but they only have the GT. Will they order one for me if I ask? I was gonna go check out a smaller store too, but I doubt they have it either. To be honest, I'm probably gonna wait for when I'm home from school for Christmas, but I was just want to get this out of the way. Thanks.

I've always been unsure of buying one online. Anyone ever have any problems?

do not buy martins online. martins are very VERY inconsistent. ive played a couple DC-16RGTE's. one of em was very nice. the other one sucked!!!

(notice i am not bashing all martins ;))

I've learned I no longer take opinions on guitars from these boards, all of you have such damn high standards lol, I played a Taylor 110 the other day and I thought it sounded great.

high standards? if you play high end guitars your opinions are obviously gonna be based on those.

how many of us have felt like we didnt wanna play our crappy stuff after playing high end guitars?

the first Taylor i played made me feel like i didnt wanna play my guitars. same for the 655ce i played a few weeks ago.

and my favorite guitar, the Breedlove C5/Walnut makes other guitars sound like crap, so of course im gonna say the 110 isnt that good. it doesnt even have solid b/s for goodness sake.

lol.

So what? I hate when you guys are always like no no, don't buy that guitar save up more money and buy a high end taylor, when someone is asking for your opinion on a specific guitar, or if they should buy it.
