i don't want to say that i know this for sure, but i think maybe he's non-denominational. he has beliefs in certain things(Christmas Song) but i've never heard of him belonging to any religion in particular.

I heard that Dave is a Quaker too, but one thing doesn't make sense... If I'm not mistaken, early Quakers abandoned music and the arts. I'm not sure if this is the case with modern Quakers, but I'm sure we'd all agree that Dave is pretty into those two things...

quaker meetings are pretty quiet, not too much music if any i think (my friend's a quaker, haven't talked to him about it in while though)
although i'm sure early quakers could have abandoned music, its not like they can't enjoy it outside of their meetings

he said he was RAISED as a quaker when he was young, and he obviously wasn't after a while and isn't one. Also, his dad was a famous scientist, him being a rock star and loving music since he was little. And his mom likes his music and says that she can hear south africa in everything he plays. I am sure he's not a quaker today, and his sisters I bet aren't (and weren't, RIP Anne), so I think Dave doesn't have a religon today, but just believes in what he believes.

Me, I do have beliefs, but I confine myself to no place, I believe in what I believe and don't need to declare myself something to define them.

Judging from what he talks and sings about (praying to God on high is like clinging to straws while drowning), I would assume that he is either an athiest or agnostic, yet still in great debate on the issue.

I've heard that Dave says he's agnostic. Anybody back me up on this?

I just think too much all the time. I create skits and jokes and stories and theories while I am working while focusing on working. My brain can do something and mutitask and just think behind it. I sometimes think while playing a song while still giving the song 100% and thinking in the background.

In other words . . . I just really think too much, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.

He definitly has his doubts in god, but thast only by judging in what I hear. I mean, his Dad and sister both died. Im sure Id have my doubts if that happened. But he also has a gifts that cant be overlooked.

I am pretty sure I am correct on this one (although I may not be), but Quakers do NOT have anything against music. Their worship services rely heavily on silence, I think because it is during silence that you are more receptive to God/The Holy Spirit, so music is not a significant part of their services. Music during the normal day is no problem.

I think people mistake Quakers with Puritans or something

ranting thespian....just by reading ur comments, i see that once ur brain starts churning, it has a very fast process and is two steps :D ahead as in ur brain and thoughts take over and ur fingers or whatever the case maybe is just along for the ride....i could go into further detail but that would be pointless...what i am trying to get at is ur possible rehtoric qustion of if it is a good thing or a bad thing.....it will be one of ur greatest assets and also one of ur largest problems
