Standard Tuning?
I didnt know there was such a thing...Anyway, now that I know there is a standard set tuning, how do i figure it out...I had no idea what tune my guitar was in, I just play and sing in tune with whatever it sounds like...ha, maybe my voice will sound better in standard tuning!

yeah sure. I just usually tune it to a Dave song cause he lives in Standard Tuning. like Crash is a good one 'cause he hits the low E so you can tune to that. Typical Situation as well for the Low E. then when you get the low E just tune the rest of the strings to that like you do. you obviously have a good ear. if you want, you can download Free Tune - its a little tuner program that you can tune to Standard E A D G B E tuning and even can do Drop D. It's pretty neat.
good, and you?

Re: Standard Tuning?
Buy a guitar tuner, I got mine the first day I got the guitar. I can tune the guitar pretty easily to the top string just by ear but I suck at getting that string to sound the way it is supposed to.DmbFanJason wrote:I didnt know there was such a thing...Anyway, now that I know there is a standard set tuning, how do i figure it out...I had no idea what tune my guitar was in, I just play and sing in tune with whatever it sounds like...ha, maybe my voice will sound better in standard tuning!

in no way is this a message to dis, but that's crazy that you've never, in three years, tuned your guitar with a tuner and actually been in tune. that must have totally expaned your ability to find notes just by sound.
p.s. you should by a tuner, there like from $10-$50 bucks.
