Differences in live Crazy Easy & Joy Ride tabs

Unread post by Scott70180 » Sun Aug 08, 2004 1:23 pm

During Crazy Easy, the beginning intro is down near the 12th fret and then the second part of the intro is played where the tabs show. On Joy Ride, The wailing A chord and E chord that is shown on the tabs is also played down near the 12th fret when I was watching him play it live at Alpine last night.

what do you mean? The part where it goes 31x3 1 3 31x1 1 3 332x1x 1 3 31x3 1 3? I'm almost 100% sure that part is correct(yeah, I just realized i could've just called it the chorus) I saw him the 20th of July and thats how he played it.. the tabs here were right on at the time..

i just saw it last night and i was purposefully watching the screen to see what he was playing and it sort of looked like a Dm but it wasnt the early tabs were G and then hit the A on G and do that twice and the switch to C and hit the A on G and then switch back.

That's EXACTLY what I was trying to tell the guy who does the videos. No one understood though.

That's tabbed somewhere correctly. It's like the SDL chords...

for the Crazy Easy intro i've been playing

Code: Select all

e---------------|-----------|
b---------------|-----0-----|
g-11-11-11-/8-8-|-6-4-x-6-6-|
d-9--9--9--/9-9-|-x-x-4-x-x-|
a----------/x-x-|-7-5-5-7-7-|
E----------/7-7-|-5-3---5-5-|
which sounds like what you might be talking about, and it's what i've been hearing from the recordings.

What "A" are you talking about?

And I'm pretty sure the tab is right, it's just the fingering in my video is different.

I saw the same thing the very first time it was played live back in June but no one tabbed it that way.
