fisting your guitar.

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

this particular selection is not a sexually active post...sorry. i know i got excited when i wrote the title...however,

when i watch dave strum i notice most of the time his fist is closed while strumming...i tried to do this once and my knuckles got in the way making it both uncomfortable and inaudible...will someone please inform me to appease my curiosity?

that would be much obliged...

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Dave of "long ago" seemed to strum a lot more wildly then he does today. Could just be me, but, nowadays, especially at D&T shows he really seems to be down with the economy of motion idea, he wastes no strokes and a lot of his picking and strumming comes from his wrist.
