Hey guys. You're probably expecting a slew of tabs considering how long it's been since I've last posted. The thing is, I haven't been using all of that time to tab things out. >_<
I'm trying to get a writing career started. It's a lot of long, sometimes boring work to tell you the truth. I get a few hours of sleep usually in the early morning. I think and write all night and try to eat and work out enough during the day to stay somewhat healthy. I swear the days have been going by quicker as of late; the last 9 months have flown by since I've been out.
My internet bill wasn't payed, so that's why I wasn't on most of this month. I'm down to my last twelve bucks so I'll need to get a job in the next few days, which'll only take more time.
I might just have to live in a car for a while.... I'd do it because I might have an opportunity to work on Family Guy for a bit, and I'd have to move. The car doesn't seem that bad. I'm just worried about where the hell I would shower and such. You know? I wouldn't count on getting that job, though. Heh.
Excuses, excuses. I'll work on tabs when I'm stuck and can't write. It won't be tomorrow... Or later today, as it would seem, though, because I've got a whole lot of ideas to work out and things to arrange and such. I spent a good part of the day figuring out "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz, though. I've never been able to find an accurate transcription for the solo. Hell, most of the rythm tabs were wrong. Heh. Anyway, I'll post it here for you all:
Here's a midi for those of you that don't have the audio for that acoustic version of Fly Away: http://www.flatface.net/~jer1400/FlyAway_.mid
I've been using Anvil Studio for quite a few years now and I don't believe there's a way to do pitch bends in it.... Anyway, that's why where the slight bends are you'll just hear the regular note... This is most noticable around 18 seconds where he hits C5 a lot and bends it a little. Heh. Anytime a note is bent a 1/2 or whole step it'll just play the note that you bend to.
After the solo I just threw in the fills so you can get an idea of what they sound like when played with the rythm.
Anyway, you can find the MP3 on Kazaa pretty easily if you don't have it, and it's a good song, so check it out. Heh.
Have fun. Enjoy. :)

Just mess around with the fills. In fact, the second one is just kind of a spiffy remix of the actually fill you can hear Craig playing. And you won't hear anything like the last measure in the second fill. Heh. Oh, and an * means stop the note from sounding.

did you not just read what the man wrote?
he may have to live in a car. don't request more songs, and sweet home alabama isn't even that hard.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Oh, that's all right. I already posted the entire song for three guitars a while back. Dan, just look back a few pages and you'll find it.
Chosta, you sound concerned. I thank you, but I'm really not all that bad off... I'm just broke. You know you're broke when you have stale bread and water for dinner and microwave some tiny marshmallows for a midnight snack. Ha-ha. But as long as I'm alive them I'm doin' good.
My friend Steve works at Burger King so I picked up an application there yesterday. Hopefully I'll get that job because you probably get free food. :D
Cheers,
Jer

First off, I'd like to apologize....that was pretty rude of me. I should have been more considerate.chosta wrote:did you not just read what the man wrote?

Secondly, I know that Sweet Home Alabama is not that hard of a song....that's why, if you read my post, I was asking for the Sweet Home Alabama acoustic intro. The acoustic version of the song (I think it's on the Endangered Species album, but I could be wrong) has a 30 second or so intro before the song really starts. I can play the rest of the song, but I've never seen a tab for this intro part, and I suck at playing by ear.
Once again, I'm sorry if I came off like an ass.
Jer, thanks for answering politely despite my greediness, and good luck with your situation.
Thanks,
-Dan
