But....ummmmmm, I feel like im gonna get shat on for this but I hope you dont take this the wrong way..just constructive....
Anyway, you know the alternating verse thing, it doesn't sound quite right to me...
You're only playing one mute after the 3----2----x-- thing on the low E..
If you listen to luther you can hear dave plays 3 mutes....
Also the chorus sounds a little off too...fort example at 0:49, im pretty sure dave hits the bass note then strums the chord. It makes it flow alot better I think.
I know this sounds like nit-picking but I know you're a perfectionist so hopefully you'll appreciate it and not bite my head off..
On another note, I thought your vocals were alot better, seems like you've put more feeling into it, good stuff man..
So, hope you dont hate me. Just trying to helpout. I did like it.

as for the alternate verse...I'm gonna stick with the way I'm playing...I suggest listening to a 97 version(which is what I am listening to)....anyway...maybe you could post a clip?
again, thanks for paying so much attention to detail...late

J........I loved it. I don't think I've heard Granny covered before and was impressed (as always) with how good the guitar work sounded.....very full and solid.....excellent job. AS for the singing, I think it's better all the time. You're days of lacking emotion and volume seem to be behind you....keep it up. Great cover.

Nice job Jay! Seriously I think that is your best Dave cover so far. Guitar sounds great! i have to agree with hillbilly on a couple different sounding guitar parts, still played well just different than the versions i listen to most, but I have heard 4 different versions of this song so who's to say your not listening to a different one. Who ever said "the vocals need some work"...they gotta be on crack or have never tried to sing this tune....very difficult and you did a great job of it. And thats my nickel! Peace.
