Oh Yeah!!! I got myself a Fender DG-11E. It actually doesn't sound that bad for a laminate. I picked it up used about 1.5 years ago for $150. For a listen check out a few mp3's of it. Note: the guitar playing isnt real great but they are my first recordings that took place about 6 months ago.

dean playmate $150. been bangin around on it for a while now. gonna upgrade this summer. crap guitars, everyone should have one sometime. ive had two. makes you really appreciate certain sounds and you have to work really hard to get any decent noise. they prime you well for a good guitar. a guy i know just got a brand new martin as his starter guitar. wtf. what if he "finds" that he's not really a guitar player? what then i ask? what then indeed. :?

same thing w/ cars i think. i know that if/when i have kids, they are gonna start w/ a crapper for sure just like i did. since ive upgraded i can tell you that i have total appreciation for my car since my crappy car. i dunno, im in a boring class. just a couple of cents from me.

i have a vintage hofner 12 string ('73, possibly a 499 model?) and a godin lgx. both of which are pretty amazing. hofner i got from my mom, godin i bought for about $1000, which is a great deal considering its worth over $3000

I'm sporting a dean right now myself. My friend had his car stolen and used the insurance money to buy a 3000 dollar martin (awesome) and I fell in love with the martin sound, all I want is a regular old Mahogany Dreadnaught though, not 3g's!

i had a Vantage that i was playing on for about two years. it was a terrible guitar. terrible. then, my brother gave me an Ovation for christmas, and life has been beautiful ever since. my progression seems to be moving twice as fast. i like it.

right now all I have to bang on is a $100 Jay Turser guitar. but um, yeah I'm saving up for either a Martin or Taylor or Larrivee or Lakewood.

Well. I have a Martin DXM. It's Martin's shittiest guitar (all laminate) aside from the backpacker. It's my first guitar though so I'm cool with it.
And it sounds surprizing nice considering it's all laminate (it can take a beating pretty well too).

And there's the '62 Fender Jazzmaster under my bed (I'm amp-less).
