Im lookin for what most ppl like (or dislike) about the reproduction of their sound by the mics u guys use. I have a Telecaster, and play rhythm guitar through a marshall MG-100 stack. What do u think would sound good?

the best way to go to mic it would be a shure sm57. those are great and inexpensive.

I generally don't agree with the SM57 statement since there are other, less peaky solutions out there. Everyone knows that SM57's have a nasty peak in the upper frequencies and especially with feedback noises. Now, if you can find the SM59's from '93 and before...grab 'em.

Here is what I think...

$0-149
=========
Superlux CM H8a $100

Sennheiser E609 $100 <--This is what I generally use at church/shows

$150+
=======
CAD Equitek E-100 (super sweet response, doesn't matter what you play it through, it'll represent it well) <---This thing rocks so much
