Taylor 414CE

Unread post by Sciaracastro » Fri Jul 30, 2004 6:43 am

I finally found a Taylor Center here in Naples (I walked around for 2 months!!!)
There are may Taylor guitars in that shop, but a 414CE costs around € 1700...
Should I buy it ??

If you've played it enough to know you love it and you have the cash go for it. Word of warning though -- don't buy it BECAUSE it's a Taylor, you know? If you love it and it happens to be a Taylor then damn right buy it and play it forever!

Have you investigated Martins, or Takamines?

They might be what you're looking for!

As big of a Taylor fan as I am, I totally agree with this.

I bought this model guitar last year and love it. Although I wish I would have saved up for the 700 series model. And if you aren't going to use the electronics then get on without them. It'll save you around $100. But it is a great guitar. It has the bright tone that Taylor is know for and it is fairly easy to play compared to some other guitars I have played. The only real knock I have on it is that it is thiner than other dreadnouhts I have played. That took me a little getting used to.

I haven't heard a Martin I liked after playing Taylors.

I heard some acoustic moofs at a bar playing Takamines last night and they sounded all fucked up ... I think the people playing couldn't mix their shit right :D
