The guitar was great. sounded perfect, as for the vocals, Im not good at critiquing singing but they deffinatley need some work but your getting lessons soon so there ya go. Id really like to see how much better the lessons make you. Where exactly are you going to get them, Id like to look into getting some, I sound pretty awful, at least when I try to sing Dave I do. Anways good cover, try to share any pearls of wisdom if you get them from your lessons. Cant wait to hear the next one.

ouch, ok dude...don't be so harsh, jk...give me a little feedback, why do ya think so, what didn't you like, etc.

it's not very helpful to hear they "definitely" need some work, ya know...lol, and I thought I was improving :(

btw, havent seen you around here before...how long ya been playing, how old are you?...you know, and all the etc.'s after that...

After I wrote that I realized it probably sounded a lot worse than I intended it to. I didnt mean like you deffinatley need some work on your vocals, I just meant there is room for improvement which Im sure you will once you get lessons. My voice is horrible so I by no means meant yours was bad, its much better than mine. As for myself, Ive been a member of the boards since like october and by the size of my post count I would think you would have at least seem me once or twice. Anyways, I am 19 and have been playing for about a year and a half. I played for a while when I was younger and then quit for like 3 years and got an acoustic and started up again the Christmas before last. Ive posted one cover, you can listen to it if you want, my site link is in my sig. So, back to your song, it sounded very good guitar wise like I said and your vocals are good I just meant they could improve, I didnt mean to come off like I did. I would listen again and try to point out specific instances but I do have a paper I have to write for tomorrow (even though I just spent the time to write this huge reply) Hope that clears up some stuff. Sorry for coming off like that, wasnt meant to be taken the way you took it.

Hey Jason, it's been saved so that i can hear the difference... :D
But....ummmmmm, I feel like im gonna get shat on for this but I hope you dont take this the wrong way..just constructive....
Anyway, you know the alternating verse thing, it doesn't sound quite right to me...
You're only playing one mute after the 3----2----x-- thing on the low E..
If you listen to luther you can hear dave plays 3 mutes....
Also the chorus sounds a little off too...fort example at 0:49, im pretty sure dave hits the bass note then strums the chord. It makes it flow alot better I think.
I know this sounds like nit-picking but I know you're a perfectionist so hopefully you'll appreciate it and not bite my head off..

On another note, I thought your vocals were alot better, seems like you've put more feeling into it, good stuff man..
So, hope you dont hate me. Just trying to helpout. I did like it.

I read all the posts then listened to your MP3. I expected your voice to be just horrible and I must say it was good. Keep it up and best of luck with lessons. I just downloaded Cool Edit today so soon you will here my sorry ass voice. Working on Spoon lately, and I am having trouble with the high notes "But laughing out loud Makes the pain pass by". peace
