This should go into General DMB...but

I believe that he has been to Europe. Maybe not the band, but Dave and Tim. I believe there is a venue list of everywhere he's played at http://www.dmbalmanac.com

I think they have had some disputes with the European part of their record company. At least thats what I've heard.

i think its because 90%+ of their fans are in the USA, and with their constant touring in the states, taking time off for pleasure is needed. Also would you take months out of time you could spend for pleasure, or touring for your major fans, off to tour europe.

Ok, I guess I have to fill in the blanks here.

After UTTAD was released, they did a European tour. They had a tour set up right after Everyday, and was going to go to (I think these are them) Australia, Europe. Then something happened, 9/11. They called off the tour then. Dave sitll did his trip to Virgin Music Store in England, and I believe one other place, promoting Everyday. You can find it, it was taped off a webcast. He plays WTWE, TSB, Billes, and an early version of WAYG. For an encore, he plays Bartender. Then, 2002, they were planning another tour out of the country, but BMG problems. They had problems with BMG european extension. The details about the dispute I don't know, but it had to do with rights to songs I believe. Last year, they got it settled. They have the rights to use other music companies for out of the country. Expect an international tour sometime in the future.

Well, that's well and good but so far this discussion implies 'out of the country' = Europe. Believe it or not, there is more to the world than US and Europe. Would love to see him do a tour in, say... , africa (and before you start, there's more to Africa than South Africa - no offense dave:) )

I am from the Netherlands and I am flying to LA to see them in august. Oke, I must admit it's a bit pricy but he, if they won't come to you, go to them... (I was trying a word of wisdom here but I think I failed.)

L.A. HERE I COME!!!

By the way, I was hoping to go to the show in san fransico as well but the free tickets from the dmb and siteare all gone :( WTF!

Dave is not big enough in Europe to spend the money to do a tour there. I was just in your parts (Finland) and I went to several record stores and none of them had a single Dave CD. Shit load of John, but no Dave. what gives? btw, why just you hate the Finns so much? OR do you? It might just be a hockey thing. Both groups are badass's.

Yes, I am aware about Peter and Marcus as well as the Sundin twins. However, as much as I love Peter (not in a gay way) he is a big slacker. Has the ability to be the best player in the world, if only he would stay healthy and stay commited to one team at a time. Yea, your hockey players hate them. I shared a room with a Swed and hung out with all his Swed friends. Then I had to hang out with the Finns. That was tough. It was like 8th grade all over again.

in what? Hockey? God no. Not by a long shot. btw, you Scandinavian players are the dirtiest players around. You dont really check, but you sure as hell love to slash and hook. Oh yea, Peter is a dirty player. I see him play all the time (Colorado) and I watch him and am amused by what he does. I mean, youc an only see so much from the camera. See him live and you just wonder how he can think he is innocent after he gets racked in the face. He is still my boy none-the-less.
