Just tried Elixers

Unread post by Seek Up9803 » Sun Jul 25, 2004 3:17 pm

I just tried Elixers for the first time on my guitar. I'd played on many guitars with them at the guitar place, but never on my own. I thought $15 is too much to pay since I'm usually low on cash, BUT Im loving them on mine. Almost no string squeak and they are soooo smooth.

Do they actually last a lot longer? Does anyone have any other suggestions on good sounding, long-lasting strings, since I usually pick up Martin's for like $4 and they're shot in a couple weeks?

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

I love Elixirs.

I've yet to try Nanowebs, But I've got GC cash to spend.

Are yours Nano or Polyweb? Polyweb's last a bit longer than Nanos, but I guess Nanos sound better.

LMAO Trust me, man, I'm straight and not wanting to hook up with you- just wondering. I'm 17. And yeah, I have a girlfriend and we've been together almost a year. :P

Yeah, it's been about the same time for me, too. I still can't believe how quick I've picked it up... but then again I practice like a fiend, lol

Nope, I've never tried Blue Steel. I dont even know anyone who plays Blue Steel. Thats why I was surprised.
