Awesome Dave Video For Download

Unread post by jsgksu » Thu Apr 17, 2003 3:05 pm

I recently downloaded this DMB Video off of http://www.sharingthegroove.org Its called Crashing The Quarter, its some MTV thing from awhile ago (around when Crash came out I think) anyways its got a couple of short interviews and seven songs: tripping billies, WWYS, crash, SMTS, too much, say goodbye and ants marching. Its pretty good quality and they pretty much stay on Dave the whole time and you can see him playing most of his songs. Just thought some of you might want to check it out. If you dont know how to use the software for bit torrent downloading check out the faq on that site and if its downloading slow lemme know and Ill open my window again. Here is the link for the actual page the download is on: http://www.sharingthegroove.org/msgboar ... eadid=1342
I think it helped me for tripping billies, I could always play it but not quite right and its helping me to perfect it, (it looks like he plays an extra note, 7 on the a-string before the slide, which I always thought he did) But anyways, check it out and tell what you think or if you need me to open my window.

That sucks man. The songs and interviews are divided up into different windows media files, I could send you one or tow that you really wanted over AOL or something if you wanted.

Did you download the mkw converter first, I dont know if that does anything but after I was done downloading the video it was already in windows media format, I dont know why yours wouldnt be. Try to be a little more descriptive of the problem or post on sharingthegroove.org, they would be more help but I can try.

bittorrent.com took me to some kind of search engine thing, and searching for torrent got no useful response. I guess I'll try to find that converter thing.

Ok, I think I got it... There's a FAQ that has the software and a detailed explanation on how to use it here:

gotta love living in a dorm with it's own t1 = )

but the files won't open in media player, what is this converter you are talking about? It says they are mpegs but they can't be opened.

update, I read the whole faq this time; not skipping any lines.

it allocates the room for the files so they are there but they really aren't downloaded yet, then the download starts and you get the files.
