buying a mic for computer
hey im looking for a mic for a computer thats not too pricey and has good sound...i dont have an acoustic/electric and want to record stuff...let me know of any mics that pick up the guitar good...Thanks

it will hook right into the mic port on my computer?...would cool edit work for the mixing software?

well..you're going to need sometype of preamp for the mic, whether it be just a preamp of a mixer you're going to go like this
mic --mic cable-->Mixer/Preamp--1/8" cable-->Mic port
You'll also need a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter to be able to plug into the out of your mixer or preamp...
And yes Cool Edit will work

A lot of people just use a regular computer mic, available for 5 bucks at circuit city. if you're looking for something more pricey, then I couldnt help you...

too close, it gets too staticty and the it will see,... werid.
too far away wierd.
i mean it seemed fine when i was over at a friends house and i was recording some stuff, then film asked me to do stream whihc i haven't done in severalmonths
and i forogt a lot of it
