no dont order it! you can do so much better for the money. go to samusic.com and see how much they would charge or a lakewood M-1.

i'de have to agree on not buying it...

keep you money and buy a solid body guitar, none of the x series sound phenominal when unplugged...

if you're dead-set on getting a Martin, but a D-15...

i am also saving money to get a nice guitar, possibly a martin (i am going to play some first)...so how do you know if a guitar is solid or not?

The cheaper guitars have Laminate back and sides, you can kind of tell by picking them up and looking at them. They dont really look like wood, theyre kind of plasticy (if thats a word). These are all the Martin guitars that are made of laminates: http://www.martinguitar.com/guitars/cho ... ds.php?b=k
I think these might not be solid bodies as well but Im not sure: http://www.martinguitar.com/guitars/cho ... ds.php?b=l
I dont know if its as easy on other sites to find out which guitars arent solid body but it shouldnt be to hard. If youve decided to buy a "nice" guitar I would stay away from laminates though, they're just not as good as solid bodies.

Of course its not gonna be the greatest guitar. its no D-15 but it is a solid guitar. i thought it outplayed all the other guitars at the shop near me. its very nice sounding plugged in! i think it sounds beautiful unplugged as well. the laminate sides dont even bother you after awhile. i mean its also a bonus that weather wont effect it. i mean the spruce top could still be.

but for $550 i think that it is a good buy. thats what i payed for it and i have loved it since the day i got it. i was really impressed by the neck of the guitar as well.

unless you are goin on tour anytime soon, i think you should get it.

im a fan of it.
