FINALLY got my newest song on here, "They Were All For

Unread post by getoffmywalrus » Fri Jul 16, 2004 10:43 am

Hey guys, well I finally got the newest song from my band 2M1D up here, I'd love to hear some feedback. This is just a number my bandmate and I started playing to our dormates last year in college, and it became somewhat of a legend, gathering quite a cult following around campus. I'm working on getting our entire album up on the site.

Haha also, hence the indirect and not-quite-as-indirect Dave tributes in the song. Tell me what you think!

hahaha this was a good laugh...

I'd say a mix of Dave Matthews (watchtower-like intro) and maybe Jimmy Fallon collaborating with the Bloodhound Gang

That was funny man

I forgot to mention the history of this song before anyone jumps to conclusions that we're redneck trash. It started off as a completely drunken freestyle after a dormate of ours suggested that he would rather have sex with a barnyard animal than his girlfriend. So it was jokingly written from his perspective, and eventually the song found structure. And yeah, it is a complete ripoff of the Watchtower Intro but c'mon, I was drunk.

If any of you live in Seattle or nearby, you should come out to Bumbershoot on the first weekend of Sept, my band's going to be playing
