Need help connecting my Behringer UB802 to my Audiophile2496

Unread post by charliemike » Sat Jul 17, 2004 6:17 pm

I have a Behringer mixer (UB802) and a M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card.

I have no way to connect them so obviously I need some sort of cable.

The Behringer has no Midi out and the Audiophile only has Midi and SPDIF in ...

Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about and how to help?

I'd be greatly appreciative.

CM

I'm probably wrong here, but get two 1/8->1/4 adaptor plugs, put them in the the main out and then put RCA cables into the 1/8->1/4 adaptors and run the RCA cable into a little 2 into 1 connector.. like it has two RCA female jacks and one male jack on the other side.. use that and plug it into your soundcard.. on the aux output or something.someone will come here and help you much better then I can.. heh

I appreciate that but this is actually a high-end card and not a normal PC soundcard so that won't work for this one.

Thanks for typing all that out though. I do appreciate it.

Unfortunately, doesn't sound like you're going to be able to go directly into that sound card with that mixer. MIDI wouldn't work for that, and you're left with S/PDIF. There are various adapters that you can use that should convert an analog signal from the board to a digital one for S/PDIF, although they do run a little pricey.
