amazing jam at hershey

Unread post by bottlecap144 » Tue Jul 13, 2004 12:18 pm

i dunno if anyone might know more knowledge about this or not but at the hershey show the other night in the middle of the setlist dave went off to go to the bathroom i believe and carter started a small light drum solo followed by a bass line from stefan then butch followed and i believe leroi and then eventually boyd while dave was at the bathroom they jammed it out for a short while and it was incredible it was amazing i havent heard anything like it in a really long time from the boys they really jammed it out of nowhere i really hope they take it to heart and do more stuff like that like bak in the day when dave came on he was very happy with what he saw and put in a few little chords to spice it up... it was amazing i was just wondering what everyone else thought and if anyone knew more about it... thanks appreciate it

Since this deals with the band and notably NOT dave, this has been moved from Dave's Guitar to General DMB. Just downloaded the show (7/10) and the jam is indeed very cool. Mellow, has a good flow, it's awesome.

Dave had one too many beers before the show. all for the best.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

i was there too and it was a sweet jam, if you noticed daves voice was gettin a bit raspy and when he came back it looked like he had a mic on his collar that wasnt there before, so my thought is he left to get that put on...

Why would he put a mic on his collar when he has a $10000 Neumann right in front of him? :? That's strange..

I believe it was probably his IEM(In ear mic) put onto his collar, maybe his ear was hurting him or something. doubt that he had a collar mic on
