The Space Between Acoustic Help
Tabs arent going to be exactly right. If you follow them to the note thinking that just because its a tab its going to be right than your wrong. NO tab is exactly right unless its pure luck or its done by the artist. Even on this site ive found in almost every tab that something no matter how little is wrong with it. Mainly because some people have better ears than others. Now bare in mind im not saying the tabs on this site suck.....i really like these tabs i more or less use them as a guide. If you hear something wrong in the tab then you have to sit down next to the cd player and find out what the tab is missing.

mm. maybe im reading this wrong. did you mean open A in baritone.Ranting Thespian wrote:Yes, but if you look at the fingerings, he is playing the chords like he would on the baritone. He is doing the open D chord formation, while when on standard you have to do the open A.winglet82 wrote:He did in the music video when he's standing on the dock in the rain
I think this song sounds so much better on acoustic.

the thing about this site that is different for all the others
IT'S BASED ON VIDEOS, NOT JUST AUDIO!
Kanter sees what Dave plays, so what he tabs from the video is 100% correct. If there are other noises, they aren't Dave, since he sees exactly what he does.
So these tabs are 100% right from what they are tabbed from. There is no mistaking these, since ther eis video proof of their authenticity. Yes, sometimes at different shows he does things a little differently, but these songs are 100% corect from what they are tabbed from, sorry KCW.
EDIT: Just want to make known I am not putting you down or mocking you, if it is read that way, I am just proving the point that these are 100% correct from what they are tabbed from. If there are any errors, it's just Kanter pressed the wrong key on the keyboard and hasn't discovered the typo yet.

This site is not immaculate. There are errors. Sometimes what Kanter thinks he sees may be something else. Check out Granny. Dave doesn't play it like that. He didn't on Listener Supported either. You don't need a video, you can hear it. He rings the D.
Same with Jimi Thing. The extra 9 on the G string with the first hammer on, ringing the strings etc.
I realize these errors are small, but it just goes to show you that he's not always right. Even when he has a video in front of him.

Also, everyone that is tabbing needs to take anything that Dave does on a music video with a grain of salt. I have read in more than one interview with Dave about the making of his music videos which stated something like.....the repetiton of doing the same scenes over and over gets to me so I just start screwing around by playing totally unrelated (chord) fingerings than what the song has....
I'm not saying that he is doing that in the space between video, just giving a "heads up" caution.

To be quite honest, they are not that obvious. The text is very small and unless you know about it I could see how people miss it.NJPearce22 wrote:Why do people not notice the other versions on the left side of the screen? There is more than one version of most tabs!
