What Strings Do you use ?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

What Strings Do you use ?

Unread post by DSeibel » Wed Jul 14, 2004 9:34 am

Hi Guys..and Gals

Just want to know what strings you use. I just wore out a pair of elixer nanoweb coated strings in a fairly short time. So I wanna try something new. Are there any specific strings that lend themselves to the 'Dave' sound ?

Thanks

Dave

eh, i dont like elixers, they are good strings, dont get me wrong, but like they have too much coating on them for my taste, vincis have a thin layer of coating, but it feels allot smoother than elixers.

I like D'addrio EXP's. I haven't tried the Vinci's yet, but people on this board seem to like them so I figure I'll try them next.

well i keep them on for a month, they still sound great, play great, probably could leave them on till they break, but i just keep changing them once a month.
