That's good. Kinda reminds me of the Goo Goo Dolls. It seems like some of the lyrics may be pushed. Like, "...staring at my feet." Do you really stay up staring at your feet? Concerning the vocals, it sounds like you have quite a bit of nasality in your voice. I'm not sure how much singing you've done in the past, or if you've taken lessons, but to tell if you're singing out your nose, plug off one of your nostrils and sing. If you're singing nasally, you'll feel a buzz with the finger on your nose. To work on that, put the edge of your hand near your wrist in your mouth....just so your mouth stays open and no air can get out of your mouth. Then sing and feel the vibration on your hand and the front of your mouth, not in your nose. You may not be nasal at all, and I could have written this for nothing, but that's for you to figure out. Sorry for being so critical.

Wow, I knew I sounded like shit for a reason, if thats true I might just be able to start fixing the way I sing. So know that I know I sing through my nose how do I stop it?AdamCU81 wrote:Concerning the vocals, it sounds like you have quite a bit of nasality in your voice. well at least writing that helped someone. You want to do the thing with your hand. Put the flat edge of your hand, right where your thumb stops, in your mouth. Sing "ahhh," don't let any air escape through your mouth, and feel the vibration on the front of your mouth and on your hand. This seems counterproductive because without air coming out your mouth, of course it's going to come out your nose. Once you feel the vibration in the front of your mouth, remove your hand from your mouth while making sure to keep that vibration out of your nose. The air should change from going out your nose to going out your mouth if you did it right. This should make it so the sound is more full. Also note that to sing ahhhh you want the tip of your tounge gently touching the bottom of your teeth.

I liked the chord progression......singing was good.......I didn't feel it was too nasaly, but I think it may have been a bit forced. There are a million threads on here about proper singing technique by tico and there all over the net so I won't get into that.......Overall I like it. Nice job.
I just recorded an original to If you wanna check it out. No vocals, but it's got a good beat......
