So get this!

Unread post by dmfollower » Thu Jul 01, 2004 12:50 pm

My wife and i just met this couple at the bar, there the same age as we are so that's cool. We were playing doubles(pool) and just sort of chatting and getting to know each other and i bring up dave matthews band. We get to talking and i have a shit-load more cd's than he does(yay!). Then he tells me that he was at the pbs listner supported show and it was the worst dave show he's been to. I nearly fell over in bewilderment. He said he'd been to much better shows than that one and that there wasn't really any "groove" feeling like the other shows had. I was like, "what about jimi thing, the stone, two step, #41..etc.?" and he said he'd heard better versions. I don't know. What do you guys think, did listener supported suck?

It doesnt suck, but there are much better versions. Espeacially if youve been to live shows. To me, the latest version I have heard is always better then before. Probably cause I dont remember it to well though.

Listener Supported rocks probably just because I own it but I love the stone and like every song at that show probably not the best but probably not the worst either. (100th post wooo)

listener supported just didnt have as much energy. but besides the fact that they didnt play ants, it is still a good show.

i've been to five shows and from watching the l.s. vid i'd have to say that show is almost one of their best.

Haha, I was totally waiting for some swingers story to come out of this.

listener supported is almost flawless in terms of the quality of the songs... #41 is amazing.

Yeah but the crowd sucked. There was no energy, but the songs were perfect.
