Summer Tour: Dave's Guitars
Just got back from the 6-17 Missouri Show.
No sign of the DM3MD anywhere on stage. Guess he prefers the 914ce and the W65 on stage.

Re: Summer Tour: Dave's Guitars
I haven't seen him use the DM3MD at regular shows very much at all. The last time I saw him use it regularly through a show was D&F. Other than that, it's just been the Taylors...Oahu wrote:Just got back from the 6-17 Missouri Show.

I think the DM3MD is reserved for solo/D&T shows pretty muchSnyder wrote:I haven't seen him use the DM3MD at regular shows very much at all. um, guys
Ever think that maybe he just gets in the mood for one guitar, and plays that one for a while, or goes back to the other? I am sure he loves them both, as well as his 12 string, his baritone, and his other taylors (tuned for raised b). I bet he thinks for hte tour, I feel like playing this one for the tour. Then he did d&f, and decided to take that on the road. Now after quite some time with the martin, he might have though, hey I want to visit my taylor now with these guys.

The Chet was the best for cutting thtough. But now he can have that dreadnought sound and still be heard. The Chet had a funky sound, but he could be heard real easily.dmb_tatertot wrote:i do agree that taylors cut through the rest of the band much better then his martin or any other guitars for that matter.

totally, Taylors have a louder "high" range that cuts through drums and bass better.dmb_tatertot wrote:i do agree that taylors cut through the rest of the band much better then his martin or any other guitars for that matter.
And to be honest there is nothing i hate more than a band with an acoustic guitar that get's lost in the mix. I mean, what's the point of playing it if you can't hear it, except maybe to give the singer something to do with his hands (have you ever seen dave sing without a guitar in hands. he looks so confused about what to do with his hands)

ture that. He either puts them in his pockets (taking them out constintley), drums on himself, or puts them on anything he can touch and takes them away. Its funny.grock wrote:totally, Taylors have a louder "high" range that cuts through drums and bass better.dmb_tatertot wrote:i do agree that taylors cut through the rest of the band much better then his martin or any other guitars for that matter.
