A spiced up Bartender I'm working on

Unread post by dmbguitar718 » Sat Jun 26, 2004 5:11 pm

I don't really post stuff with vocals on here, but I wanted to sing on something, so I tried Bartender. I spiced it up a bit.

It's short. And, yes, I used a crappy mic, so it gets distorted at times. (The voice)

That was cool dude...The western draw, or whatever it was that you added to the cover made it new and different. Much appreciated...the vocals were alright...peace

Nice version! The western twang sounds as if it were written by dave during the construction of the new album (from the new songs thus far in the tour).

not bad at all...the singing does need some work as you mention....but stellar guitar playin'!!

Yeah. I can't sing. The voice is turned up too much in the mix anyway.

it sounds like for vocals you have the timing somewhat down...just keep practicing and i bet you a year from now you'd notice huge improvements..practice singing as much as you practice guitar and imagin how much you can improve... i liked this cover though...be sure to post some more work, it sounds really good!

minus the vocals... i'd love to get the tab for that... that's some great soulful guitar work... very good stuff with guitar. work on the whiny factor with the singing.

It's always strange to hear to hear a tenor singing Dave, but I love the style and and guitar work. It has a real folk feel to it that gets lost in the rest of Dave's jazz oriented band. Of course, that's why I love 'em. Jazzy folk-rock.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
