i'm late for work so i'll make this short...........great quality recording...what do you use to record? Guitar sounds great....Voice is good as well, although I could have used a little more emotion behind it. But you were in tune which is good. Nice work. I'de like to know what you use to record, cause it sounds great. The Whailing at the end gave me chills.....very nice. Best cover of this song i've heard so far.

Hey Greg

Thanks for the review, I agree with the lack of emotion. I definately wasn't into it. I didn't even try dave's high pitched screames on the 'bended knee' part.....ehhh..i'll work on it, thanks..

As for my recording stuff... I use a Boss BR532 digital 4 track recorder.
It's a nice little toy..
That's plugged into my sound blaster audigy 2 sound card.. :D
Oh and my guitar is a Yamaha APX9c..still saving for my Taylor or Martin..whatever comes first.. :D

Thanks again Greg...anyone else have any comments?

hi trippin,

mind you, i'm no expert, but... i've been downloading recordings and stuff from this site for a couple of weeks, and i really enjoyed your cover, quite possibly the most of all the ones i've heard.

these might sound basic, but i thought you did a great job of staying in your vocal range, and you were in tune (which gains big points from me!).

and you didn't try to get too fancy with the guitar, although with your proficiency, i'm sure you could have, and succeeded.

overall, a really solid cover.

Great cover! I think that was the best one so far. Your singing is improving. Keep at it. 8)

Excellent, excellent cover. :D Your sound quality is great...real crisp and clear. No question your singing is what made the song....what a fantastic job! I can't say enough about how good the vocals were! :D I'd give my left nut to not only be able to sing and play, but to sound so close to Dave. As for the guitar it sounded beautiful. It's not the most challenging song in the world, but getting it to sound so tight like you did was very impressive. Great work.

Finally Listened to it...Actually listening to it right now. Sounds great so far...Im waiting for the ending (my favorite part).

Guitar - In tune, Good recording, Good Rythym

Vocals - Good Voice, Not straining & seems natural. (Some people force themselves to sing like Dave but ending up sounding like garbage due to his unique vocals).

Recording- Excellent

Im listening to the ending right now.....Is it Dave or is it You!!

Great Job on my of my favorite songs.
