warehouse question (not about passion intro...well kind of)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

warehouse question (not about passion intro...well kind of)

Unread post by jojo321 » Wed Jun 16, 2004 5:45 pm

ok towards the VERY end of the passion intro, like right before dave starts singing, they start playing the regular intro to warehouse, but after the play the whole 7-9-11 thing once through, they play it again and then it sounds like timmy hits these two notes or something

does anyone know what i am talking about

it is right around 2:01-2:03 if you wanna check on L@LC

thanks alot

Did this warrant it's own thread?

This level of scrutiny is rather pointless if you ask me.

he's just asking a simple question.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I was counting down how long it would take before someone got defensive. If you say anything that has any edge to it around here someone kicks up a fuss. It's getting old.

Why don't you go ahead and answer the question if it's so simple.

Don't apologize it wasn't a big deal nor did I make it one. It was however pointless.

I'm not trying to be a thread nazi here, I really didn't understand what you were asking. There's ten thousand notes in that song and your aking about two in a three second span that in no way stand out amongst the rest. I do my best to help but come on. There's a very obvious absurdity in that.

Part of why it annoys me is because this kind of scrutiny doesn't lend itself to originality.

This is a dave matthews discussion forum where people come to ask questions about how to play a dave matthews song. If someone wants to learn to play the song accurately then any questions should be important.

Why does it matter if someone aspires to be a Timmy clone?

So many more things to get annoyed about ... :)

He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

I don't now where you all got the idea that I'm really, truly, honestly annoyed by this. I post something that isn't even insulting and you all jump on my back.
