Where do you get your inspirations?
Hey guys I'm just bored and wanted to know where most of you get inspiration for your songs. I mean is there any certain place where you always get ideas, or a book etc. that always provides songwriting material. For me, it's probably when I'm sitting outside somewhere on the ground and just relaxing somewhere. Whenever I do that, I always get some cool ideas for songs. So I'm just wondering where it is for you guys.

I sometimes come up with some pretty good riffs when I just jam with my other band member (drummer). Like one time he was just playin this beat he came up with and I just started improvising over him and I came up with this GREAT riff.
As for the question about what my songs are about lyrically, I usually write them as telling a story with some deeper meaning behind it. Things in the song usually unfold as they go, but that's just my style now, and it may change.

i agree with the whole ex-gf thing... almost all of my songs are very very... um.. pathetic... oh well... if they work, and they help me get some stuff off my chest, then im not worried about it. Inspiration comes from everywhere: from beers to babes to buzzes... anything that tells a story, can tell a song...
i should make that into a song.. what the hell
