New Here-Can anyone tab out this song....bit obscure

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

New Here-Can anyone tab out this song....bit obscure

Unread post by awf113psu » Fri Jun 04, 2004 10:27 am

Hey everybody. What's up? I've been a long time lurker here, and enjoy the posts and figured its time to get in on it myself. A friend of mine from Denmark pointed out this guy, Teitur, who is basically an acoustic/folk/pop guitarist/act. If you go to vh1.com, you can find a few live clips of some of his tracks with him playing solo acoutic. I really like the song "you're the ocean" but cannot seem to find a tab for it online. So I was wondering if anyone knew of this guy and might know of the tab, or even more so might be able to tab it off the video from the vh1 site. You basically type in Teitur in the search field and then select artist and you should be able to find it. If anyone could hook me up that would be great. Oh and i've been playing for about 3 yrs but haven't really gotten into trying to tab stuff on my own yet(not good enough for that i think). Thanks in advance. Andy

If you AIM me at Ruttshutripper and send me a song, I'll give it a shot.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

thanks everybody for the responses. Winglet, i will see if i can get you a copy of the track. The good thing about the vh1 vid is that it is solo acoustic, except that it is streaming video. I have a copy of the cd but its full band so there are a lot of extra sounds going on at once. Plus in the video you can make out that he's got a capo at probably 3 or 4. I found this site, http://teitur.iscav.com/ , has a couple of guitar tabs but none for "you're the ocean" . Anyways I will check back later.
