Not a bad song, weak album for Dave's standards, but still better than most of the shit that came out.

Nevertheless, Lillywhite sessions were better.

I love the D&T version with the acoustic baritone. As I do all the baritone everyday songs for that matter.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

The song just doesn't do anything for me, I don't know I think it sounds fabricated and un-daveish.

to the person who said "i don't understand people who are like 'i love dave, except his one sung that sucks royal ass.'"

umm...that's me. he's great, they're great. my favorite band. They can write AMAZING songs. but on the slip side, they can write some of the most boring shit ever. IMO of course! examples...I did it, proudest Monkey, Lover lay down (so shoot me), raven....those are just some songs that i can't stand. as in...i don't like listening to them, ever. but that's just my opinion. haha.

i loved the meadows last year. besides that one part you speak of, both nights were kick ass i thought

and i like I Did It too. it is one of the least good DMB songs, but it's still pretty good. the only DMB song i don't like all that much is Mother Father, and even there i kinda like the first minute or so

WHAT!!! So right, i LOVE that song. My favorite off ED and i always hope they play it at shows.

The only songs I skip are IDI and STDH.

And maybe proudest monkey.

Depends on the weather.

I like this thread!

I'm glad someone else likes the song. Surely, it's not even CLOSE to "good" by DMB standards. But, compare it to most garbage out there. It's not too bad a track. It bumps, it's fun.

At least it starts the album out with tangible energy.

I think the only really disappointing thing about Everyday is the absence of the band. If they had all been there for the writing instead of just playing synthesized pieces, it would have been great. As it is, songs like Sleep to Dream Her sound like some lame-ass collaberation with Kenny G. No offense, but I can't stand Kenny G.

Lover lay down? Really? That's a great song. So is raven but obviously you're entitled to your opinion. I did it is just meh to me. Very un-davish as someone already said.
