CP is very good quality, has a decent setlist, and has a very good guest (Warren Haynes).

LS is shitty quality, has a good setlist, and has no guests - and just about everyone loves it more. It's very 'raw', for lack of a better word. I would say pick either one and get the other one next chance you get. Both are great releases and I would have recommended them both over L@FF.

I like LS the most (even though I love Dancing Nancies on CP), LS is just dmb, no special effects, just dmb on a stage, playing their old stuff and new stuff (new stuff at the time). I also think they all look better . . . well, I like Boyd's hair and shirts he wears today.

I prefer LS because the balance of sound is better, in that you can hear all the instruments evenly. Dave has more cool solos. Butch's playing isn't as crazy as on L@FF or CP, but it is more laid back. Thats what I love about LS the most, what some people call sluggish playing I consider more laid back. Jimi, LBV, and 41 I could fall asleep to. Its great relaxation music. Sure, the versions of R&R and DDTW are kinda weak, but again they are are more laid back.

The opening jam sets the tone for the whole concert, with a kick back and relax feeling. In contrast to the opening jam to CP where it is of anticipation and power.

Above all, I love the DM3MD. I just love its smooth, supple tone. Although the taylors cut through the band better, they often overpower the band, like on CP. But the Martin smoothly blends in with the band in every song, yet is audible enough to be more than prominent.

And I do love the lovely ladies. On Folsom, they have a tendancy to butcher some of the songs, especially IIHIA, and I did it. On LS, however, they are tasteful, ephonious, and complementary to the music, epecially granny, true reflections, and LBV.

The setlist has a unity that few other setlists achieve. with CP, I listen to individual songs individually, but with LS I frequently listen to it all the way through without stopping. I also love to take my electric and effects and jam through the whoel concert, working the tim reynolds parts and those I made up. beautiful.

If I had a dollar for all the damn lawns I mowed last summer I could buy one of dave's guitars.
