whats the difference between them all?
i know they look different and the hollowbody has more of an acoustic sound but alot of groups i like i see using a hollowbody or a semi hollowbody.

Ok, hollow body is basicly any acoustic. Hollow is that the whole body of the guitar is hollow. Semi hollowed body means that it has stuff inside the hollow part, mostly blocks of wood connecting the sound board with the back of the guitar, mainly for support, so the guitar won't collapse in on it'self with age (for arch top electrics, some do this, then I have seen Strats and Teles and even a Les Paul where they had f-holes in it. That means they are semi hollow body). Solid is where it's just a block of wood with electronics in it, solid wood, nothing hollow in it at all. A chet would be a solid body, as well.
There ya go.

We don't need such negativity here. You could have phrased that a lot nicer. Isn't this board supposed to be friendly and peaceful? that was mean, and hurtful.

hollow body is just a regular acoustic... ie. dreadnaught
a semi hollow is like a guitar with f holes or like those huge guitars you see the blues players with that look like acoustic bodies with humbuckers
like this... (semi hollow)
