favorite jam, live or studio

Unread post by Davy28 » Fri May 28, 2004 4:57 pm

We've had tons of threads about favorite DMB songs, but I want to know what everybody's favorite extended jam is from a dave song or elsewhere. My favorite has to be the one in crush. For some reason it is such an absorbing jam, because it sucks you into it with its power and makes hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

I love the Crush jam as well. However, my favorites tend to be either Two Step of LIOG. The LIOG on the Chicago CD is fuckin' great. That's PROBABLY my fav. There are so many good ones though. I'm also starting to like the #41 jam that segues into Everyday. That is cool.

I think the studio version of Drive in, Drive out has got some pretty sweet jams, when Carter goes nucking futs on the drums!!

I like it when Dave solo's in Jimi thing. He plays simple stuff, but they just fit well. #41 and Bartender are pretty kickass. No real favorite. Though, I really dig the ending of Pig.

i have to like the jimi thing jam at central park...even though it doesnt seem to blow your mind or anything, its just fun to listen to, with the sax solo, then warren's solo, then dave's solo, then going into for what its worth. very cool.

I can barely hear dave's solo on CP. I like the one he plays on LS better. Its all crazy and funky. The grace is gone jam is another favorite. I remember when I saw boyd at the gorge, it was right at the time when he was out of tune and screwing up a lot in previous shows.

When I heard him play GIG, all my doubts were gone.

God, I hope they play it again at Coors.
