Once more with feeling.
I'm just curious if there are any of you that have experienced this... well let me back up. About 2 months ago I was flipping through the channels on the ole boob tube, and went past PBS. It was some orchestra concert thingy, so i stopped to give it a listen. Just after I stopped the violin soloist began his portion of the song, man he was good. like give you chills good. It kinda put you in a trance. But anyways, what i started to notice was that he was crying. At first I thought he was just sweating alot, but they got closer and i could see his eyes all watered up. You could even kinda hear it through the violin pickup and mics on him. So then, the other day, doin the same thing, i go past "American Idol", yah... but the girl, Fantasia Berino, was singing a song, some old slow bluesy song. Also very awesome performance, but when it was over, she was crying too. The cheesy host asked her why she was crying, and she said "I just felt my song".
Now I know there have been times, usually when I'm playing and singing all by my lonesome that i've felt the same thing, it's not that i'm sad or that i stubbed my big toe, it's just that you get so caught up in the song, the emotion kinda gets to you. Now, i've never cried, but sometimes my eyes definately water up and it feels like i need to just give this jungle cry or something. So am I a freak? anyone else experience this?

They say that when Thom, of Radiohead, recorded the vocals to "Fake Plastic Trees" that he did it in two takes and broke down in tears when he finished. Now, that song gets me everytime when it ends. I don't start balling or anything, but it gives me goose bumps to think that right when it ends, they probably cut out his sobbing and stuff at the end and that it was THAT powerful of a song to him.

You should see me whenever I play American tune by Paul Simon. I'm bawling like a baby.

Playing Nirvana unplugged does it to me too. Especially Dumb, Sunbeam, and Something in the Way. Sad Songs.

crush sometimes moves me to tears, especially when i sing it for my girlfriend. its our song, along with WAYG. she likes SMTS too. i love her, and i think that that's why i cry, cuz the lyrics are about how badly he wants her.
