So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I remember someone asking for Santana's part on JTR, so here it is. I basically just filled in the gaps in the tab on the Site by DaverlyHills41420. I figured the rest of it out watching the video from 3-14-99.
Code: Select all
e-----------------------------------------------------------
B-----------------------------------------------------------
G-----------------------------------------------------------
D--7--99------7-12-9------5--7--9-7-9------5--7--12-12-9----
A-----------------------------------------------------------
E-----------------------------------------------------------
e------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------
G------------------------------------------------
D-----5-5h7---5h7---5h7-5h7---5h7---7/9-9-5-7-5--
A--7--------7-----7---------7-------------------7
E------------------------------------------------
e----------
B----------
G----------
D---5-5--5
A-5------5 Strum A few Times and Repeat
E--------3
The tab already on the Site by Daverlyhills41420 is correct for the rest of the song.
Tim just plays what Santana plays, except he may through in an extra note or move up an octave.
Hope this helps.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Try using harmonics.

Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

Or a whammy and slide.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Sorry, there should be a - inbetween. But honestly, is it that hard to reach the 99th fret? Either get a slide, or a decent cutaway. Duh.
