yeah goes from 5/4 to 12/8 and then to 4/4. cool musically. lacks substance. btw, the 12/8 part is easier to count in 6ths. But 6/4 isnt used much.mbgreen wrote:Rapunzel is such a better song than last stop. Rapunzel is in funky ass 5/4 timing, its got great changes in it, and some cool chords. Last stop is all barre chords in 4/4. So its a middle eastern scale. Whoop. I cant believe theyre tied.

The only reason I refuse to vote for Rapunzel is because the last show I went to (7/19/03), the encore closer was Rapunzel, and they fucking rocked the hizzouse. I think it was around 10 minutes long, and it was the best Rapunzel jam I've ever heard. So yeah.mbgreen wrote:Rapunzel is such a better song than last stop. Just out of curiosity, what do you mean when you say its cool musically, but lacks substance?Beauford33 wrote:yeah goes from 5/4 to 12/8 and then to 4/4. cool musically. lacks substance. btw, the 12/8 part is easier to count in 6ths. The substance part.

Really? I guess I could see the verses. But I think they fit the song pretty well. I've always loved the chorus though...and the way it changes is sweet.
I think the world of you
All of my heart I do
Blood through my veins for you
You alone have all of me
From you my strength is full
To carry your burdens, too
I give my word to you...

All of my heart I do
Blood through my veins for you
You alone have all of me
From you my strength is full
To carry your burdens, too
I give my word to you...

Same here, not the same show, but I've seen it twice as an encore and it does rock more than I thought it would.TrippnBill686 wrote:The only reason I refuse to vote for Rapunzel is because the last show I went to (7/19/03), the encore closer was Rapunzel, and they fucking rocked the hizzouse.
