good songs to sing and play

Unread post by saleen » Thu May 20, 2004 7:57 pm

hey, I am working on singing and playing. So far so good, but I am looking for some good songs that have some simple chord progressions that are easy to sing. I searched but didn't really find any songs that were to my liking. I am looking for some just chill laid back songs.

So far I know:

Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night
Stones - Wild Horses

and I am looking for some similar songs, I just can't really think of any even though I know there are plenty out there, thanks in advance.

p.s. I am going to torture chris webber with a saudering iron like he did to me this whole damn season.

Ramblin' Man - Allman Bros.
Stairway to Heaven - Zeppelin
Good Riddance - Greenday

Look through a lot of classic rock from the '60s and '70s and you're sure to find many of the type of songs you're looking for.

The three mostly played Hootie and the Blowfish songs...
Hold My Hand
Let Her Cry
I Only Wanna Be With You

I can't play the last one, but I know you need to CAPO it, just not sure where, but those are awesome songs to be able to play and sing. :-)

Pearl Jam - Elderly Woman

First one I ever learned to sing and play at the same time. Real easy.
