Other guitar tabs and lyrics...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Other guitar tabs and lyrics...

Unread post by firedancer86 » Sun Nov 17, 2002 6:49 pm

Will there (I'm asking because they are not up even by text on the front page menu) be any tabs and/or lyrics for these tunes;

Toy Soldiers
Kind Intentions
Route 2
#28
Weight of the World
Spotlight
Eyes of the World (greatful dead cover)
You Won't See Me (beatles cover)

ect.
Will we ever see these???

well the problem in that lies in the fact that jkanter won't post a tab without having visual evidence of the exact notes being played. those songs are super rare so it would be real hard to find a video of almost all of them.

Yeah, I kinda' was figuring that, but it is a shame Dave has not done more with some songs like Kind Intensions, Spotlight and #28...I would like to hear them cleaned up and put on a record.

I've never heard of #28. The AM.org song tour has Drive In, Drive Out listed as song #28.

Hmmmmm...no...well I got it as #28 and have even posted what I thought the tab was (check back on the history of my posts) and others (well only one responded to it) knew it by that name. It is a very low quality MP3 that is out there since forever in which Dave's voice sounds like a witch and the guitar sounds as if it were submerged in water...regardless, it is very easy to play and you could jam to it forever...

#28 has also been called "destiny" before.

....and I thought it was determined that "Destiny" and "Once on A Wild Afternoon" are the same song.

The only song I've heard that is low quality and sounds like the guitar is submerged in water is Mother Night.

will jkanter post a tab that isn't verified but sounds right as long as it's noted that there is no visual evidence of what he's playing as well as no guarantee's the tab is right, but an educated guess it is! That seems fine to me... :?

yeah, the contributions section to this site should be up soon where ones like us can submit tabs and they'll be looked over and played to see if they're right. And I'm sure they will also be discussed and I'm sure we'll all decide upon the correct tab and up it will be.

peace,
Ken

Lemme try to shot some down for ya,

The tab for Route 2(earlier version of proudest monkey):
E|----------------------------------
B|-------(3)-----(3)------(3)-----
G|--------0-------0--------0-------
D|----------------------------------
A|----3--------2--------------------
E|----------------------3-----------

*I added the opt. notes on B, thought it sounded pretty good

The tab for Toy Soldiers:
e|----------------------------------------------
b|-----------------------------------------------
g|-----------------------------------------------
d|---9-9-9-9---9-9-9-9---9-9-9-9---9-9-9-9-
a|---7-7-7-7---7-7-7-7---7-7-7-7---9-9-9-9-
E|-9---------5---------7---------7--------------

pretty simple...

not sure bout the other ones, never even heard of #28, Hope it helps
