i can strum a fast song and make it sound good, but when i strum a slow song it sounds like crap... ive been working on this song (capo on 3rd fret then Dsus4 Em7 C2) and i just cant make it sound good.... i need to learn how to play slow songs... any ideas?

it'll come, man. just keep practicing. play along with any song. you'll be able to hook onto the beat and time of any song eventually. controlling your tempo is challenging but quite important. especially if you wanna jam with other people, like a drummer or another guitarplayer. say, what song are you practicing on with the capo on 3?
good, and you?

Don't worry about it dude. Things will come along. Just relax, and enjoy the fact that not a whole lot of people know how to play. You are one of the few and proud to pick up an axe and play an actual song. When you find yourself getting choppy, just relax. Thats the best advice I got.

Peace!!
