Guitar Tab Sheet Music Book Trade

Over the years I have collected several, maybe over 100, Guitar Tab sheet music books. As most of you know, these book are not cheap and once I've learned a song or two it gets shelved. I'm wondering if anyone has similar collections and if they are willing to trade some.

My collection covers several genres, both old and new, mainstream popular music, and even music not so popular.

If anyone is interested intrading please let me know OR if you have any ideas on how we could set up a community trading center.

thats an awesome idea man, i have several tab books, not as many as you say, but i have all the dave books, and some other ones, i would definately be willing to trade, i dont even look at them anymore, but everytime im in the music shop i want to buy another one.

Couldn't help but notice your avatar. The potential war has little/nothing to do with oil....it's about terrorism, the continual threat of that animal Hussein, and Iraq's direct connection to the attack on the Twin Towers. And if you've been paying attention lately, they have been linked directly with assisting in the attack. There is such a thing a necessary war and this would be it.

Anyways, I have plenty of tab books myself and would be willing to do something with them.

I know this probably isn't the forum, but there are equally tyrannous despots in egypt, pakistan, and somalia, yet we don't seem to be anxious at marching into their home and killing innocent civilians. Why not?

No, there has not been any solid link of terror to Saddam other than that Zawahari has lived in Iraq. By that line of logic, we should be equally condemnable for the 9/11 attacks since many of the hijackers lived on our soil.

In addition, Osama blatantly claimed that the first war in Iraq was the primary motivation for the WTC attacks (along with our aid to Israel). So we'll go in and kill some more people, they'll terrorize our country, we'll strike back, so will they, etc. Perpetual retribution doesn't make much sense, does it?

This war is unjust. Terror isn't "probable cause" for a preemptive war.

Rant over. (This was the extremely abbreviated one.)

Anyhoo, the only tab books I have are D&T L@LC, Days of the New 1, and Alice in Chains unplugged.

Interesting article I found in a local paper here in Florida.

Aside from the Bush administrations predilection for world domination, not to mention the death of data supporting war in Iraq, there is something troubling about the inevitable Iraqi invasion. The complacency of the american prople. Though there is massive international opposition to an invasion, many Americans march blindly behind the war machine, waving flags in the name of those who died on Sept. 11th. Those who do cry out for an end to the mounting aggression are deemed Anti-American or worse. It's dead rhetoric to be sure, especially in light of the specious reasons for and attack on Iraq.
There's the "remove the despot and free the people" scenerio, rendered invalid in light of Americas less-than-stellar record as the world's peacekeeper. Considering our inaction in any number of major global crises-- the massacre of nearly a million Tutsis in Rawanda, Pol Pot's unchallenged tyranny in Cambodia, the ruthless daily kidnappings, bombing and murders in South America--we ought to reconsider our watchdog status when it comes to world Affairs.
The tired "Saddam Hussein is stockpiling weapons of mass destruction" argument is sadly hypocritical considering the U.S. has been building its nuclear arsenal since late 2001, when Bush bowed out of the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty. Couple that with the fact that the Bush administration is rushing the implementaion of its Star Wars Missle Defense System, a flawed and largely untested program, and it becomes clear that the U.S. is not concerned about reducing arms on the planet, just those of rival nations.
This is not to say that Saddam Hussein isn't the monster he's painted to be, that he shouldn't be ousted (though we passed on that opportunity in the Gulf War, didn't we?). But it is cause for reflection. As our nation thrusts a collective fist in the air and calls for blood, we should do well to show some restraint.

Actually, just this past week it came out and was discussed in a White House press conference that many of the captured Al Quida shitbums had numerous amounts of info on them connecting Iraq. Anyone who thinks they had no part in it is being incredibly naive. The Middle East has been nothing but a pain in the ass for years and years and myself and many others are sick of it. Enough is enough. We need to go in and level the entire country and leave. Short and sweet.

I will stop here on the topic. :wink:

On a lighter note, one week from tonight I will be at my first Dave and Tim show ever !!! :mrgreen:

This was sent to me in E-Mail. Not sure where is orginated. It captures my thoughts on terriosts however not necessarily Iraq. Nonetheless, I support my country and government with whatever decision it makes.

General "Black Jack" Pershing was born September 13th,1860 near Laclede, MS. he died July 15th, 1948 in Washington, DC.

In 1909, while Pershing was the Military Governor of>Moro Province, Philippines, there were a number ofterrorist attacks on the United States forces in the Philippines by Muslim extremists.

So General Pershing captured 50 terrorists and had hem tied to posts for execution.

He then had his men bring in two pigs and slaughter them in front of the, now horrified, terrorists.

Muslims detest! pork because they be-lieve pigs are filthy animals. Some of them simply refuse to eat it, while others won't even touch pigs at all, nor any of their by-products. To them, eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc., is to be instantly barred
from paradise (and those virgins) and doomed to hell.

The soldiers then soaked their bullets in the pigs blood, and proceeded to execute 49 of the terrorists by firing squad. The soldiers then dug a big hole, dumped in the terrorist's bodies and covered them in pig blood, entrails, etc.

They let the 50th man go. And for the next forty two years, there was not a single Muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world.

Maybe it is time for this segment of history to repeat itself, maybe in the terrorized areas of the holy land, The Sudan and where their holy jihads are under
way?

The question is, where do we find another Black Jack Pershing?

Yeah, well thats what happens when your POOR!!!! I'm struggling bad to get more gigs. If I gave up that night I would hurt myself pretty badly. :cry:

I suck again!! Thats okay though, if you check out Warehouse's fans photos from the St. Pete FL show, you'll notice that I was on the Front row for that one. I am a lucky bastard. I was in the 3rd level nosebleed seats. Then some warehouse dude came along and told us that we had won front row tickets! Middle of the first row tickets that is. We got our picture taken, and I proceeded to make eye contact with Dave for the rest of the night. I cried, he cried.... :cry:

sniff. anyway, as much as I would like to rekindle the magic... I'd better get my butt in gear.
