hey everyone. ive been using dmbtabs for a long time. first off i have to give props all the mods and contributors on the site, this is a great thing youve got going here, it has helped me a lot as a guitar player.

so since this is my first post i thought id start it off with a little recording. i just downloaded cool edit yesterday and used the mic that was already on my comp so im a little unfamiliar with all of it. I've been playing for about a year now. So let me know what you think...

hey bro...I was pretty impressed with this one...you can hit the notes vocally and you have the guitar part down for the most part...there are some rhtyhm issues that I noticed...

the verse: the slide...

needs more strumming...and I honestly dont know why people hit the 7th fret 5th string during the verse, as I never hear dave hit it, nor have I seen it....to me it just sounds bad and out of place.

The "eat drink and...." part: he only goes back to the

every other time...I can't really think of anything else to critique you on because it was very good...The vocals can be improved from practice, but I can tell you have a natural ablility/aptitude with singing..that is if you have never taken lessons of course...lates

thanks for the advice man, ill be sure to look into the things you mentioned... about the 7th fret on the 5th string, is that how it is on the site's tab? im just wondering if ive been doing it subconciously this whole time but never actually learned it that way...

and can some one help me with angelfire please? they just shut me down again... and i cant seem to find an explanation from the tutorial or the site

the 7th fret 5th string is not tabbed on this site, but it IS tabbed like that on other sites...It's just that I never have heard dave play it that way, and when I hear it in covers, it always sounds weird and out of place...

as far as angelfire, you are on your own...unless someone else has some ideas....lates...

My comp at home is still down...so I can't listen to anybody's stuff yet...anywho

Has angelfire given you a reason...did they shut it down, or was it temporarily suspended due to bandwidth...you may just need to decrease the size of your mp3...but you did say that it was only the first 2 verses right...so I'm thinking either adjust your bandwidth, or start a new acount with new information...they wouldn't just shut it down for no reason though...

well welcome to the site, and as soon as I get my CPU back up and running I will be shure to catch up on everybody's covers : )
