I'm looking for a thinbody cutaway, any suggestions???

Want to ask about strings, maintenance, amps, mics, or comparisons of different guitars or any music equipment? This is for all threads related to music equipment.

Thanks ShawnRT, that's my game plan. I'm going to look for a 312 cutaway, new or used.

In the meantime, I have to sell my guitar first, thus if anyone is interested... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3721173774

you may like it now and feel that it "fits" you better, but i can say with relative assurance that, down the line, you wont like it anymore

No, you can say, with relative assurance, that YOU don't like it. You have no right to say what he will or won't like.

Technically, he has the right to say anything.. but it's his preference, not yours.. if he likes thinbodies, let him get one!

Many guitarists love the look, feel and sound of smaller bodied guitars (OM, 000 and parlor size). Robert Johnson seemed to do just fine with his little Gibson :)

I like the thinbodies for a legitimate reason. I had a surgery that cut straight across my chest, therefore when I play a fuller body acoustic I have to lean further over the guitar and it puts more pressure on my chest and make me very uncomfortable.

I'm not a very good guitarist to begin with so I have to go with comfort over sound.

I'm biased but I think the Martin 000 series are great! I bought a 000-15 about 6 weeks ago and can't put it down! The body is Grand Auditorium style. Not exactly thinline, but thinner than a dreadnought. It's got a real nicely balanced sound and one of the most playable necks I've ever played.
