Just got asked to be in a band that plays Dave...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Wish I could help you, but I'm an acoustic guy. Always have been.

definately take the offer. even if you're not experienced in that area, it always helps to play with people. :)

yeah, i dont know where. my friend said its a coffee shop type deal. at the moment its just him (drummer, really good) and his cousin (acoustic, never met him). i was just told they really want more people.

I used to play electric, got reaaaaaaaal old. But i could play dave on there, if u were to do lead stuff, turn off all distortion and off the hum-buckers. If not, tims stuff is allot of improv. Some base for the solos, but everyone show and song is different

I love electric. I have 2 electrics and I am getting a third (and final). I don't do leads, though. I play them as I would play an acoustic. I just like the certain sounds and feels for certain songs. When I am playing a good Jazz song, I want it to be with my smooth (wtih flat wound strings) De Armond, not the full acoustic sound.

So, I play them both the same (well, when I want to get heavy, I just turn up the gain).

My suggestion? Learn Boyd's parts and mimic them on the electric ... throw in some of LeRoi's solos too.

That would rock out ...
